Bingo Extra Review

Oh, for the good old days when everything seemed to be so much simpler than they are now.  You could actually remember what number each TV channel was, and the thought of mobile phones was just something seen in a sci-fi film. Bingo Extra, which was launched four years ago, has a vintage look to it.

The website says, “Get into your 70s-hippie outfit and let the games begin!” That’s a bit puzzling though because when the site has jukeboxes, skating rinks and diners, it’s more ‘Happy Days’ than hippies. But the site does take a look back at the past in its interesting blog.

This is a site that has a great selection of bingo rooms and if you love slot games, there’s plenty of those too. The name seems to come from the fact that when it looks as if there couldn’t possibly be more promotions and games, there always seems to be another one.

The site is owned and operated by Daub Alderney Limited who also run such sites as Kitty Bingo and Lucky Pants Bingo. The site is licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission and also the Alderney Gambling Control Commission.

Becoming a Bingo Extra Member

There’s plenty of reasons for you to decide to become a member of the Bingo Extra site. Joining the site isn’t a problem at all and won’t take up too much of your time, in fact just a few moments.

If you go to the site and look in the top right-hand corner of the site, you will see the green ‘Join Now’ box which stands out well and can’t be missed. All that is required now is to click on that and the registration box will appear. Completing this is a swift process with no surprise questions, just the usual set you’ve probably answered many times before. Within minutes you will be a member of the site.

A Choice of Welcome Offers

There’s not one but two welcome offers on this site, but you can only claim one of them. First of all, you can take the option of receiving a 400% Bingo Bonus. With this offer you need to make an initial deposit of at least £10. The maximum bonus that can be received from this offer is £200 which requires a deposit of £50. Alternatively, your choice could be a 100% Slots Bonus where if a £10 deposit is made, you will be playing with £20. The maximum deposit amount that qualifies for this bonus is £50.

There are wagering requirements attached to each of these welcome offers. With the Bingo Bonus the wagering requirement is 4x the sum of your deposit and the bonus you have received. When you play bingo on the site, this counts 150% towards meeting these requirements.

The slot bonus has a 25x wagering requirement and again this is on the sum of your deposit and bonus received. Bets placed on slot games count 100% towards the wagering requirement that need to be fulfilled.

Plenty of Promotions on Offer

The welcome offers are just the beginning of the promotions that are on offer at Bingo Extra. There’s plenty of them available on this site and there is plenty of variety in what is offered. So, let’s take a look at what is available on the site.

Lunchtime Special

Lunchtime isn’t just for eating and drinking you know, well not at Bingo Extra anyway. It’s a great time to make a deposit into your account. Players will receive a 30% matched bonus of up to £100 when making a deposit of at least £10.  Therefore, a deposit of £40 will see you playing with £52. There is a 30x wagering requirement on the sum of the amount you deposit, and the bonus received. Bonus funds earned from this promotion, can only be used on certain slot games and your bonus is valid for 28 days.

Just think what you can treat yourself to if you are lucky enough to get a win.  The card price is just 5p for this 75-ball game and you can buy a maximum of 72 cards. If there are two or more winners, the £100 will be divided equally between the winners.

Join the Extra Club

It’s always good to see a site reward its customers for the amount they play on their site. That’s the case here with the Extra Club that you can work the way through the various levels. You start off as a newbie and can then climb to Bronze, Silver, Gold, Ruby and Emerald. At the top two levels you will receive VIP treatment, this includes a reduced withdrawal pending period and a dedicated VIP manager and an upgrade bonus. Other bonuses in the Extra Club include deposit bonuses, daily free spins and cards

A Very Lucky Draw

If you opt-in to this promotion and then deposit and wager at least £20 on the day, then you receive automatic entry into the prize draw. The good news is you are bound to be a winner with a guaranteed bonus prize between £2 and £20. The more entries you have in the draw, the better your chance of getting the maximum bonus. Bonuses received will be subject to a 30x wagering requirement.

Great Bingo Selection

When you join a bingo site, one of the key characteristics you are looking for is variety. Playing the same old games day in day out will soon have you yearning for more. However, that’s not the case here because there are plenty of different rooms for you to try and get wins in with 75-ball, 90-ball and five-line games to play. It’s a great selection but some more information on the games would be helpful.

There’s the Diner room with an image of a very tasty looking burger. To play here you need to be a funded player and cards cost 50p each. If you love playing games where the cost of each card is only 1p, then the 90-ball game Penny Arcade is going to be perfect for you. The 1950s theme continues with the Drive-In Bingo Room. Wednesday is a day to put in your diary because it’s ‘Win Win Wednesday.’ There’s a share of £200 to be won or you get your money back.

Jukebox Time

There were some fantastic singers in the 1950s and their music has influenced future generations. Whether it was Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra or Buddy Holly, any 50s jukebox had their hits on there. At Bingo Extra, they have their own Jukebox Room every Saturday night at 9.30pm.

There’s the chance to win up to £500 cash with £250 for a Full House, £150 for two lines and £100 for one line. It’s a 90-ball game and the card price is just 10p. It’s a linked game and tickets can be purchased from various partner sites with a maximum of 96 tickets allowed. The money won is real cash so there’s no wagering requirements to be worried about.

Head to the Roller Rink

Back in the day a trip to the roller disco was extremely popular but so was a trip to casualty afterwards. Thankfully, Bingo Extra has a Roller Rink but it’s a lot safer than the real thing. The Roller Rink Room is open every day at 1pm and 10pm and in this five-line bingo game there’s £5 up for grabs five times a day with cards only costing £1 each and the maximum you can buy is 48.

Super Slots

This site may be called Bingo Extra, but it excels when it comes to offering its customers some great slot games. There are games from such well-respected slot providers such as MGS, NetEnt and Play ‘N’ Go.

Making the site even more special is the fact they have a selection of games by their very own game provider DaGaCube. This means there are exclusive games to play, including ‘Jazz Cat’ and ‘Cutie Fruit.’

There’s an extensive selection and the good news is that there are always new games being added. A whole section is dedicated to them, one of many sections on the site. There are ‘featured slots’ such as ‘Winbledon,’ ‘Wacky Races’ and ‘Showdown Saloon.’  Other sections are divided up into different themes including Magic and Myth, Animal and Nature, Pirates and Treasure and Movie and Adventure. The site also offers the chance to play vintage three-reel slot games.

A helpful tool is the Slots Filter that can be seen in the bar above the list of games. This identifies games that have bonus rounds, stacked wilds, tumbling reels and best of all, jackpot games such as ‘Battleship Direct Hit.’

Smooth Financial Transactions

The Banking information is rather hidden away at the bottom of the page. Once you have located it, there’s plenty of information available about how financial transactions work on the site.

Payment methods that can be used on the site include Maestro, Visa Credit, Visa Debit, Visa Electron and MasterCard. The minimum deposit with these payment methods is £10. Other payment methods are Neteller (minimum deposit £20), Paysafe Card (minimum £10) and PayPal (minimum £20).

The minimum withdrawal is £20, and withdrawals are processed within 72 business hours of the request being made. It then generally takes three to five working days for banks to process the payment. There are no fees charged by Bingo Extra, though PayPal may make some.

You will need to verify your account to prove that you are old enough to be playing on the site and own your payment method. All that’s required is to supply Bingo Extra with some identification. This can include a Driver’s license, passport or ID Document. Also required is a recent utility bill. Full details on the website.

Plenty of Help Available

The site has a FAQs section that has plenty of information about all elements of the site. This covers financial issues, what to do if you forget your password, details about the different forms of bingo available to play and their loyalty programme.

If you’d rather chat to someone, you can contact them on the freephone number 0800 279 3221 or 0203 544 6725. There’s live chat available 24/7 and you can also email them at support@bingoextra.com.

On the Go

You won’t want to miss the great games that are available to play on this site. The good news is that you are able to play the site on your mobile devices. It’s also possible to keep up to date with what’s happening on the site by liking their Facebook Page or following them on Google +. There’s a twitter account too but there’s been no tweets since March 2018

In Conclusion

This Bingo Extra review is of the belief that there are lots of reasons for you to join up with them. The vintage feel to the site with the blonde-haired woman with speech bubbles is good to see. Still no idea why they mention 1970s hippies when everything is so clearly aimed at the 1950s apart from an article about Woodstock. That’s in their blog which has several interesting and unexpected articles such as looking back at cold winters and the Royal Family.

There are plenty of bingo games to play with some good prizes to be won. A bit more information on them would be welcome though. Their promotions show a lot of variety and it’s good to see there are two welcome offers to choose from. The loyalty scheme is a good one too which is always good to see. There’s a good amount of help available and 24/7 help is always to be appreciated. The site is easy to navigate your way around and it’s helpful that the site can be played on your mobile devices. There are no problems with financial transactions and overall this is definitely a site you should be joining.
